Stop in for a fun history lesson at the Chippewa Valley Museum. Take a step back in time to learn how Eau Claire became the unique city it is today. Take a relaxing half-mile ride on the Chippewa train around Half Moon Lake.

McDonough Park

The newly renovated McDonough Park has something for everyone in your family to spend an afternoon outdoors. Easily park and have access to 8.6 acres of this serene park. The park in Eau Claire has pickleball courts, a playground, a garden, exercise equipment, and basketball courts. With access to Dells Pond, you can go fishing, or your dog may enjoy dipping their paws in. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at the many tables and picnic areas scattered around the park. Owen Park

Owen Park is an 11-acre location sandwiched between The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the downtown area. At this park, you will find a bike trail, tennis courts, a natural hiking trail, and a fitness zone. Owen Park in Eau Claire also has a playground for your little ones to play. The park also has Sarge Boyd Band Shell, an iconic music venue with about 1,300 built-in seats. The park has public restrooms on-site as it is a prime location for music events throughout the year.

Phoenix Park

Phoenix Park is a 9-acre riverbank park located in the heart of Eau Claire. The park is home to a summer Farmers’ Market and numerous concerts. Spend time on the water in your tube, as Phoenix Park is a prime spot to launch into the Chippewa River. Kids love playing on the playground and munching on a picnic at this park in Eau Claire.
